According to Jimmy Ott on 104.5FM in BR today who claims he has some inside info, it has nothing to do with possible NCAA problems.

Recently talked about on 247 board, apparently he just wants to get out. Billy Embody talked things down a bit saying this isn't exactly what it may seem (FBI related sanctions coming or something), but that he is having a hard time finding a HC job after looking heavily recently and is pretty sure it's because of the black cloud over the program with Wade so he's trying to get a change of scenery to get out of that shadow. Would really suck because honestly he's a very good assistant and recruits so well.

Usually an investigation proceeds sanctions.

This has everything to do with Will wade.
Heiar just got a raise & promotion last May. This makes no sense under the guise of upward career move

As my post stated, it is because of the current situation and him not getting a fair shake in HC jobs due to the issues around the program.
It doesnt have anything to do with what he knows or think will happen, just that he wants to move on because he feels he cant get a fair shake for a HC job with the current situation he's in. This is supposedly the 2nd season in a row he's put his name out here for open HC jobs and gotten basically zero bites, and he really should be a solid candidate, very good assistant coach. Hard to really blame him if that's the case.

Maybe Heiar is just a bad head coaching candidate.
He was the top assistant at Wichita State when they were on an awesome run. He got no HC opportunities. He came to LSU to increase his chances. He still got no opportunities.

He has interviewed for hc jobs and can’t get one. One of two reasons. The black cloud of ncaa under wade. Or Wade is seen as the mastermind of it all and he is getting no credit.
