Tiger81...you beat me to the post...and we both live in Brentwood, TN...strange coincidence. Thanks for the correction, 1972. An era when I grew up and came to love LSU.

His run on the opening play of the sugar bowl was probably the most excited I've ever gotten on a single play. My jaw dropped and it took a second and I was like " GO!"

Wasn't that the BCS NC game vs. OK in the Superdome??

No, on the First play of that game he pulled a run to the goal line then we had a turnover (think a bad snap)

John Parker Wilson vs Laron Landry

not the best play ever but i love it. It is also ESPNs best play by play call

I thought so too. Didn't get the six and didn't need it as bad. If he would have scored on that one I think he would have won the Heisman

I didn't make the play.

But it may have been the greatest career summary play to every highlight a player's incompetence.

FWIW the greatest positive play I have seen in person was S endzone goal line push TD by JH vs Fla 07

A few great game ending plays on the road that should get mentioned, Jamarcus to Doucet vs ASU. Eli tripping on 4th down to win the West in 03. Being there live I felt like the LSU crowd tripped him not his Center.

Everyone has mentioned a lot of great plays....

But the Billy Cannon run is so far ahead of all the other plays, it really isnt close.

Second for me is the Bluegrass Miracle- the look on those UK students' faces is priceless.

TM7 was not fast as punt returners go, IMHO. But he had unbelievable instincts, field presence and turn-of-foot.

Ended up sitting and getting drunk with the QB(Boechman or something) randomly a couple years ago. I had an LSU shirt on and when he saw it he told me all about that game. Basically said they were so big and fast he felt like a piece of meat thrown to lions. Best line was "you ever had four 270 lb guys chasing you while knowing damn well you weren't getting away?"

Now THAT is the definition of a CSB!
