Which was it? I vote for the Earthquake Game against Auburn in 1988. Hodson to Fuller. What do you think?

Good choice - Hodson hit Willie Williams on at least 1 fourth down covnersion (Williams had to fight for the yards). He and Fuller also misfired on the exact same play (winning...a la Charlie Sheen) before scoring.

I thought we were talking longest drive on the road?

That would have to be USC in 1979.

Yeah, Florida 07. I was actually out of the country and followed that drive from Asia on a Sunday morning through ESPN's Gametracker. I was going crazy. Couldn't see a thing!

I was at the Earthquake Game, though. The stadium literally exploded with noise at the end.

Considering the stakes at hand. USC just lost. 4th down after 4th down. Playing agaisnt what will be a two time national champ team and a heisman winner on the other side.

Expectations were HUGE and the team delivered on national tv during saturday night in Death Valley.

ETA: Thanks LSU Hat

Florida 2007 has to be up there. Game-clinching drive, several 4th down attempts, including the final TD plunge. National title aspirations on the line...

Could have been better if there hadn't been enough time on the clock for Florida to have another possession, but it's up there.

Forgive my recency, I can't think of one to top that.

Florida 07- It is the greatest drive in football I've seen in fact.

This. But a lot of the reason is because it took a ridiculous amount of time off the clock. Wasn't it over 8 minutes of 4th quarter on that drive?

yup. we were having all kinds of trouble stopping Tebow. I remember turning to my brother and saying I hope the boys got a 9 min drive in em, I don't wanna see Tebow with the ball in his hands again with too much time.

Yeah I know it isn't sexy offense but there is something to be said for the ability to eat clock in the 4th quarter by pounding a defense on the ground.
