Great lunch and a Tiger smile

Jumped into a little "hole in the wall" joint for lunch and my server had a big smile with a Tiger beanie. Of course after the obligatory "Geaux Tigers!," the elderly lady with the big smile says "I'm Donte's grandma."
I said "Jackson" and she was a little shocked I knew him. But of course she doted on her boy. And of course I proceeded to brag on his speed, style, and potential. She says he's also running track right now, of course.
GREAT shrimp poboys. No lie, probably one of the best I've had in my 43 years and I've had many to compare. Poppa's Poor Boys on Jeff Hwy in Jefferson, in Donte's hood near Riverdale.

DEFINTELY a hole in the wall, not for the gentrified, but perfect for any real Yat (or Yat-at-heart).
Shrimp was rolling... battered, seasoned, and fried to perfection, and PLENTY falling off all around to make a nice side-snack. Gonna check out the roast beef next time and that will make all the difference in ranking this place a NOLA great, haha.

But back to Donté... I really do expect HUGE things from him in the future as he learns and matures as a Tiger. Was nice to see him get spot-duty on O (just once or twice?).
I remember the Fall Camp video of Miles' jaw dropping watching him in a gauntlet receiving drill and then saying "WOWWWWWW!!!!!" and looking around to make sure the rest of the staff saw we he just witnessed.
