I didn't think LSU fans could get any dumber until Poche almost got a second no hitter.

You know the OP made this topic thinking everybody would agree with him. He was so sure of himself.

Now granted, poche having to pitch was inadvertent, but it's just as plausible for breaking up the no no as people jinxing him on a message board.

Nice call sending Jared to bat.
Now we know who doesn't know the DH rules in college baseball.

I am waiting for someone to say Mainieri left him in too long.

Good god bunch of babies in this thread. I agree with PM 1000% with getting other guys some time.

another geek that never played beyond ll or never was coached by anyone other than daddy.
I played and was an assistant coach for an ex pro player and he would never had done that. He would have respected history or if he felt the pitcher was not going to make it to bring in his ace closer to preserve it. Why? Because that kid deserved immortality of LSU baseball for turning down the Padre's and returning his senior year. He deserved the very best of coaching.

What did the starters being pulled have to do with it?

Couldn't hear what was going on in the game.

Let me guess:

You are a delicate little flower whose mommy never let outside to play with those rough boys. You don't know squat about baseball, but you do read the rant. You have noticed that there is a gaggle of complainers that bitch about everything Maineri does, so, being the lonely and uninformed child you are, you decided to try throw some shade in a desperate hope that you will gain some level of acceptance.

Did I get that right?

It was a great opportunity to announce his accomplishments in baseball.

OMG!!! Can I have your autograph?!?!

There was no way to know, in the 4th when PM started making changes, that he would carry a no-no into the 9th. He did the right thing getting a lot of guys some quality PT.
