Oregon won, but gave up 51 to USC. "Experts" have been saying the Ducks have a good defense. Yikes.

i guess one way of looking at it as a win/win - if bama wins, most people will know they shouldn't have even been there, especially them, and it'll almost be like an asterisk, better yet if they lose, we get to berate the shite out of them for being the first sec team in like 9 (or more?) straight that played in the NC game to a non sec team and lost and blew the streak, again reminding everyone that they shouldnt have even been there.

Agreed. The DLine, too. Bama's DLine had extraordinary pressure on it tonight - on the field too long - and it never broke under relentless pounding from LSU.

Nice post. Ignore the jerks. But let's be honest, whether LSU has two losses or not, at the end of the season, if Bama fans know LSU is the the 2nd best team in the country and the best team with the chance to beat them, would they lobby for us to rematch in the title game? I'd love to play Bama again and I think any objective persons know these teams are even. Hurts as an LSU fan knowing there is ZERO chance for redemption.

Yes, win/win. On the one hand they beat us in Tiger Stadium despite playing well enough to have won. We didn't get revenge or redemption. So if they lose they still have that.
If they win they get a NC and no one will remember anything LSU did this year just like last. Saban will have 3 out of the last 4 NC trophies. The only 3 in the BCS era which is ending so that will never be broken. A winning record in TS, over LSU, and over Miles.
At least we can get revenge next year right? Unless he goes to the NFL. Even if not most of their team will be gone so it basically isn't the same team.
We look pathetic nationally and everyone who picked Bama can say they were right. I guess we can at least say we crossed the 50 or scored a TD. Pretty pathetic right?

Don't let the coonasses represent all LSU fans. LSU had the game won but we let off in the last minute and a half. We played a good game before that.

Classy post and only those who lack sportmanship and class would have a problem with this...we are all fans of the game and the effort those young men from both teams put forth. This time, we came up short but it was a hell of a game!!!
