What?! What about Hill's JR season we lose to Iowa with out him.

Stats wise Hill was better too. The way I see it Hill is up on Hester 2-0 and in your mind this is a wash!?

Value and importance to a team on a particular year is not the same as being a better running back.

Hill didn't play his junior season. And it wasn't his redshirt sophomore either.

Fahck!

Yea his sophomore season. You are right, but why wasn't his sophomore season as important as Hester's 2007 season.

Hill is the best back LSU has had in the Miles era

It would seem the confusion is around this comment. We would need to define what constitutes the "best back" before we continue. Does this mean value to a team on a particular year? Or does this mean talent/stat wise?

If Hill played instead of Hester in 2007 we would have been an even better team, because Hill is that much better of a player. Hester is a great guy, but Hill just led the NFL in YPC

Uhh no. Hill is the best back we've had in the last 15 years and is up there with Faulk. I don't know if we've had a more underrated stud player than Hill.

Some would say this....

Some would also say this, but it's a small minority. I seem to be the only one with this opinion.

I think both were studs at LSU. Hill was amazing, and well you know about Hester, his motor was always running.....

"Jacob Hester says hello"

Hester accomplished some great things at LSU but Hill was way more talented.

Agreed. They guy set the SEC record for YPC and then turns around and leads the NFL in YPC as a rookie. He legit is one of the top backs in the entire NFL and we got people calling him a wash with Hester

PERIOD!

Fournette can possibly get to Hill's level (and he was starting to late last season), but he ain't there yet. Hill had the best combination of power, vision, balance and speed of any RB in the last 20 years at LSU, maybe more. His 40 times may not have been world-class. But I know one thing, when he got behind the defense no one ran him down.
