Well, yeah? Some blame goes on Miles for sure.

Then why keep the staff member that was the recruiting coordinator?

He was recruiting coordinator for what one year? And the head coach has the final say on who they go after. But we can just ignore that.

Not sure O is the guy but Miles was fired a few years late. The program has been headed down hill since the National Championship disaster.

Oh ok, you talked to Alleva? That's what he told you? How in the world would you know that's the reason he was hired. That just sounds retarded to say a coach was hired to maintain a mediocre team.

I do agree that it sounds retarded, but...

quote:

I think he’s the best situation for us at LSU, and there’s no doubt in my mind. He’s going to hit the ground running."

quote:

"I’ve seen how he has changed the culture of this football program. You guys can’t imagine how he’s changed the culture. The attitudes of the players, attitudes of the people in the building. It really is phenomenal. I just know that’s going to continued."

quote:

We have a very good recruiting class going right now and I think it will get better. Those things are all very important."

quote:

Our kids have in their mind from the minute they come here that they want to be playing for championships. When those dreams are not there anymore, to be able to motivate those young men to play at that level and he has that quality to be able to do that. That’s special."

Those are from an Alleva interview the day after he hired Orgeron. I didn't see anything in that interview about any rebuilding being required.

Even if they are some slight talent issues, we still have plenty of talent on both lines to beat 10 teams a year.

Plus, there are actually good coaches out there that game plan around talent deficiencies.

We don't have one of those.

O has 2 years to "rebuild". The first year he will be on a "rebuild" watch, anything less than a 6-6 record will put him in a hot seat next year. Less than 8-4 on second year will see an exit door shoved up his arse after next year.

2018 class does not look like a great class at the moment

It will be a while before we get to the championship level and many programs have taken dips and valleys hopefully we can maintain close to 10 wins until we turn things around.

I am not sure we get to 6-6 type of team and as long as we can recruit elite players that stay we can bounce back.

Why is Grimes still here is the big question. The offensive line problems and recruiting should be on him.

Makes a lot of sense. Goes to show you its more of a "rebuild" type of job for O than people want to admit. I see people often say that the reason they hired O was to avoid rebuilding but how do you explain these numbers? How can you not say we have a lot of rebuilding before we can really consider us a contender again?

Some of the numbers were caused by O. Also, why would O be your choice to actually rebuild?

Agreed. The recruiting coordinator for the past couple of years definitely hasn't helped either. He should shoulder some of the blame.

I blame Miles and Chavis for some shite recruiting. Also, why do we have so many O lineman transfers? Grimes needs some blame too. He should go. Our o line has been poo for a while

An excellent article and goes to show that Miles left the cupboards a wee bit bare. It'll take CEO two more recruiting classes to get the program turned around. Hopefully he can last that long. All in with O.

Good lord. That's what you got from that? It's miles fault?

Yes, yes it is Miles fault. How long do you think O has been here?

I just want to know where were the bullshite articles like this leading up to the season and after the first two (2) games when it was all lollipops, unicorns and rainbows.

The advocate, coaching staff, etc. - no one made mention of these issues and it's now convenient that they are raised. I am not saying that there weren't people on here talking about concerns on both sides of the line, bit it sure wasn't being reported to any great extent.

Yet another dumb arse that thinks O has been the head coach for more than 11 games. He was a position coach only one year ago.

He can be called out for the time he was here recruiting. Many players transfer when a new coach is hired. But the facts are those were Miles players. Miles has a nice list of Mojeau players on his resume' btw.

Calm down and quote my statement that made this assertion.

So because sports writers didn't send you an email it isn't true? Talk shows addressed it. But remember the suspensions, if that is why some players aren't available had to happen very recently. And there is nothing a coach can do to a roster that late.
