Not sure I understand the graph or am reading it wrong. Your graph seems to contain a sharp downward spike in winning percentage late in 2006, but we finished 2006 with a 6- or 7-game winning streak. Can you explain how I'm reading this wrong?

the graph would be a lot easier to read if you removed the wasted space between seasons

Good idea. I'll put games on the bottom instead of years

Conclusions? You have WAY too much time on your hands.

that should do it. probably still a good idea to keep some kind of indication of the season though. maybe number the games like "200701" for the first game of the the 2007 season.

To me it looks like the program has been very consistent over the last 5 years.

You're reading it right. We did end on a 7 game winning streak. Those sharp spikes are due to the losses to Auburn & Florida before winning streak.

That's really cool.

Same Here.

Only thing I don't get is why our Win% didn't get a noticeable raise in 2011?

meh

Miles HAS been consistent, but that's not the issue in the grand scheme of things

the issue is the QB position

i'd be more interested in a graph related to that

From that graph the most striking thing to me is nearly identically inverse relationship with wins vs pts allowed.

Although the wins compared to pt gained is similar it is not as consistently correlated.

That being the case, it could be deduced that although points eared is important, the defensive strength of LSU has dictated the overall success of the team.

Not surprising to those of us that have long said that a strong offense wins fans and games but a strong defense wins championships.
