Lee has done a very good job for us this season but for all those arm chair critics and want-to-be coaches, JJ was our starter before this mess in Miles' eyes, and com'on guys, those eyes are the only ones that count. You guys aren't at practice every day. Bash JJ, you're just bashing Miles.

I don't have to be a plumber to know if I have bad pipes or not. If the plumber can't see the bad pipes that you see, then you have to question the legitimacy of the plumber.

The fact is that the QB controversy began years ago after Ryan Perrilloux was removed from the team. I have to give credit to Miles for doing what he needed to do that season. Lee showed flashes of brilliance during his career at LSU, but the atrociously bad first season was so difficult to overcome that it took this incident for him to get the starting job.

What has Lee done with the opportunity if not run with it? One would hope that Miles has enough sense to overcome his loyalty to Jefferson to keep starting Lee. This job should be Lee's job to lose now. It would be one thing if Lee was stinking up the joint. It's another thing when the offense is the best it's looked in years.

I just think being ranked #1 and 4-0 isn't the time for a QB controversy.

If I'm Miles, I'd just say "Lee is my starter

It's lee's team. Lee should take every snap. Every snap you waste giving it to jj is one less snap lee could have used to lead this team to a national title. Jefferson should have played tight end. He doesn't have the accuracy to be a qb in the sec. He can't read defenses and can't comprehend the complex playbook that a college qb must know. This team won last year despite jj. I am glad that we won't have to worry about seeing him next year. The days of Jordan Jefferson butchering this offense will soon be over. Jefferswagg, who in the hell have you been watching. Really. No touchdown passes for six games and ranked 100+ in passing last year.

I'm just an LSU football fan who wants another crystal ball. I am not a JJ supporter, however. I have wanted to see what Lee could do given another chance and a coaching staff who asked him to control the game, much like they asked Flynn to do in 2007. The only good thing to come out of JJ being reinstated, IMO, is that now every defense LSU faces will have to plan for the "ground-and-pound" plus the "spread option". Either way, New Orleans bound...

suspending his starting qb for 4 games is example enough...you must have forgotten that the DA has already said that there was inclusive evidence against JJ...dont be surprised if the DA's office dismisses this simple battery charge against JJ

The DNA evidence was inconclusive. The evidence was enough that grand jury determined to prosecute, but they felt the injuries not severe enough for 2nd degree battery

This cannot be serious. Do you really think after the alleged fight that JJ was involved in he thinks to himself, "BRPD is probably going to do DNA analysis on my shoes so let me get rid of them."

Based on the grand jury decision to reduce Jefferson's charge to a misdemeanor, it's only fair that he should be reinstated to the team. However, Jefferson should have some kind of probation. If he gets in trouble again, he is off the team for good. And it wouldn't be fair to Lee if he gets bumped down to the number 2 spot and Jefferson takes over the starting position. Lee has been doing a good job as quarterback, even better than Jefferson.

Im glad he is back, now he will not be around next year to mess things up with Mett. He can and will finish his career as JL's back up.

Jefferson can ride the pine. We've looked better through 4 games with Lee than we did the last 2 years with Jefferson.

#1 in the country and have looked great so far....no need for Jefferson to get off the bench.

Good strategy. Go ahead and get Jefferson out of the way. Mett looked promising when he played. Keep Lee as starter, Mett as no. 1 backup, and Jefferson . . .well, we'll let him dress out and go to the games. Weather is turning cooler, so we need somebody to keep the bench warm. :)
