I bet Miles feels awful about that one.

Get well, Dillon!

That really sucks. And a senior too. Really great blocker.

I never can remember the specifics with this. How could he be eligible? Is there a certain number of snaps?

Damn. Well I know if some run heavy NFL team is looking for a good blocking te he should be the top choice

Wasn't he blocking for Fournette in place of Moore?

I think it is less than 25% of the games for the season, but I think him coming back for this game might have hurt that. It's a shame though. Kid is such a competitor.

Some housekeeping matters:

He is a senior. He didn't redshirt. If he wants to try and stay at LSU another year he can apply for a medical hardship waiver provided he didn't play in 20% of the teams dates of competition. That matter likely won't be decided until after the season. It isn't automatic. I have no idea if he would be inclined to return to LSU. His pro prospects are probably a lot like most LSU players, given the right circumstances, he could contribute somewhere.

So sad. We lost two great blockers on just two short passes.

With the injury he had with Achilles he may have tried to do something he had no chance of doing.
Playing on it.

Always wondered by Gordon played at 300+.

He was and would have continued to be an absolutely blocking beast at 285.

And probably would not have burned his Achilles at that weight.

Damn, I hate to see this. Gordon seems like a great kid, and he's been a better player for us than most fans realize... One of those situations where then stat sheet doesn't begin to tell the whole story. Get well soon, Dillon!
