Who was going to pitch next Thursday?
On his post game show this morning Mainieri said he didn't know who was going to start Thursday but he was NOT going to start Nola or Poche then.

He was assuming at that time that Poche was going to pitch today.

Broham, I just love how you constantly apologize for Bregs yet you are jumping all over Mainieri for baseless reasons.

Seriously dawg, you are the skinny white boy to Bregman's Michael Sam.

And if Poche would have pitched last night, Johnny Allstaff would have pitched today, Tuesday and Thursday.

let me see if i get this thread...

cpm held out out poche til today. he was smart to do this because he can pitch thursday.

we lost today because bregman went o for the weekend.

you people cannot be serious. cpm can make educated decisions according to the weather. he happened to choose wrong. admit it. bregs laid an egg.

my thought is that LSU is not in the position to make hold anything back. cpm should play every game like it is a tourney at this point.

CPM chose right actually. Pitching Poche last night would have been a waste. He would have had a much better chance today. And now that we're not playing, he can pitch Thursday which is just as good and sets us up well for the weekend IMO.

The Bregman talk is just to mess with Broham since he's his white knight.

while i do think it was not the right call to hold out poche, we will not know til thursday. and no i will not be the guy to remember this on thursday. i am not sure how the thursday game is more important than yesterday's game. if johnny wholestaff was going to pitch one of the games, why is the other game more important than the next one? my point is that every game is important.

i just think it is funny that everybody KNOWS this was the right decision today. no one truly knows yet. time will tell.

life is good ell.

What's important is getting as many wins as you can. The weather makes you have to rethink starters. PM thought there was a better chance of delays last night so he went with AC.

PM already mentioned that JW would have gone Thursday. I think most would agree that Poche is preferable to that at this point.

i agree with almost everything you said there ell. turns out, as of right now, gaspard made the better decision in not sitting his #2 yesterday.

Better decision how? I really don't see how pitching Poche last night and losing is preferable to have him available for Thursday.

Question is do you think we would have won if Poche pitched last night?

So you assume Poche pitching would have changed the outcome? He would have shutout Bama?

i am not assuming anything. johnny wholestaff might have thrown a shut out thurseday. you are assuming that poche would not have.

We're talking about last night. You said Gaspard made a better decision. I'm not assuming anything happens this Thursday.

If it's just a game...why do people do it for a living? Why does it generate tons of revenue? It's not just a game. That's an excuse for losers.

i know what game I am talking about.

cpm made a decision. LSU happened to lose this time. i don't give a damn if LSU wins 200-0 on thursday. yesterday was still a loss. and cpm did not put forth his next best starter yesterday.

rather simple, my boy.
