Yes, because losing to the #20 team in the country (or #26 depending on which poll you like), who haven't lost at home all year would devastate our resume

many people typically oversimplify things. it's not about one game. it's about the big picture. in this case, lsu is down to one chance to capture a top 50 road win (unless bama or vandy manage to improve their rpi) and the overall road record drops to a pretty miserable 3-7.

the good news is lsu played an inspired game. they showed heart. the bad news is it's pretty clear that, despite being an improved team, lsu is just not beating the better teams on the schedule. 4 of the last 7 are against the top of the conference.

this one game doesn't kill lsu's chances of making the tourney.
