guy is a legit 225, how is that a understatement? Moreno was 200 at UGA and grew into 215, and we don't know how fast this kid is, do we?

Been told by someone within the program that Ware is "far and away the most talented RB

Was Ware an early enrollee for the spring? Was he even in Baton Rouge for summer workouts? Not trying to discredit yor post or anything, I just honestly don't know if Ware has even been with the team yet.

I think redshirting Ware is an important issue. If you redshirt Ware, then he is a RS Fr when Hill, Hillard, and Magee all come to LSU, creating almost a logjam of RBs at LSU.

If you don't redshirt Ware, you would almost waste a year of eligibility when it currently looks like Ford, Ridley and Murphy will get the majority of the carries.

This may be what started the rumor about what Miles was doing in Ohio last weekend.

Speaking as a Leesville native, I hope Michael Ford gets his carries and excels in this backfield.

And at the same time, I hope he starts to overwrite the Cecil Collins debacle.

Moreno ran a 4.48 coming out, Ware ran about a 4.7 according to recruiting sites. Knowshon wasnt 200 coming out of high school either (Sites had him as high as 210 and Ware as low as 215). My point is he is nothing like Moreno as a RB, I think most will agree. If anything Gore and Murphy are more like Knowshon than anyone based on their style.

As I said before I hope Ware is a beast, Moreno isnt on our team.

I think we should implement some sort of pro set in which we can have multiples of these guys on the field at the same time. This also allows you to put RS in the slot and motion him for carries as well.

This is a simple offense to run, you almost always have a lead blocker for your back and you must contend with the talent we have on the field.

Edit: As to comparisons of Ware to other backs, I actually think he is more comparable to someone like Mark Ingram or maybe Ronnie Brown...obviously both studs.

As of the moment, I don't see a FB on the roster that invokes fear in D-Coors across the league. However, you put Ware and Ford in a split proset backfield with Shep in the slot, RR on one end and TT on the other and they have many things to worry about.

I like your first statement better than the second

If he's that good then play the man... esp since it'll create spacing between him and the next class. Murphy is a senior, Ridley is a junior right? Having an experienced Ware as a sophomore and Ford as a RS Soph in 2011 sounds just fine to me

But bottom line play Ware if he's that good... no one can complain if they were fairly beaten out

I can't think of a year where we used less than 4 RB, and even modest game time this year will make him better prepared for next year.

as the article stated Wilson yanked RB on and off pretty frequently, Id say we definitely use 4 on a regular basis with the guys we have at RB.

My guess is Gore will be the one to get redshirted unless something happens.

ware looked good as a blocking FB too. i know its somewhat a waste of his talent, but being a freshman, perhaps he could get a little time at FB as well to give him some extra experience. that is, of course, if he doesnt get redshirted.

because you where there to personally time him in HS, right?

and we all know we can trust all the recruiting sites info, right again?

Knowshon wasn't 200 comin out of HS either
it was a fact he was a 195-200 lb back comin out of HS that just ran tough, he built himself up at UGA to 215. Ware is a legit 225 and moves like a much smaller back.

so for you are the only one that agrees with your own assesssment, this kid has the same shiftyness as Moreno, watch the HS video highlights again, and he will lower his shoulder and use his power like Moreno when approached, that's why I said he is a bigger, faster version because by the time he leaves LSU he may be running sub 4.4's.

Ronnie Brown doesn't move like this kid, this kid is elusive for his size. I just hope LSU uses him correctly and doesn't waste his skills like they have done with past RB's.
