From LSU SportsNet (e-mail news release--Got it about 2 mins. ago):
LINK
If anyone out there has already seen this, my apologies in advance. I did search over the Rant and other boards here and didn't see the one from LSU. If someone else did and I missed it, please don't reply to this message. I've received a pair of messages from two all-knowing jerks on another board, so I'm in no fricking mood.
Thanks. Have a great day (and night)!

No.
Go yell at your husband. I posted this on that board long ago, and if you'd have checked there first, you would have seen that. There are threads on Tiger Rant (3-4 on the board here last I checked) not only about coaches, but a few about Gonzalez.
It's been that way all week, and will probably be that way off and on. I've read Chicken's guidelines and understand his want to have the boards streamlined and threads being in their proper place.
Sometimes though, they do cross over into discussions about players and other issues which are relevant to TR threads. Also, a few posters asked me for this particular link 'cos they couldn't find the one I provided on the CCB.

Just curious. Why is he leaving Florida? Does he have any Louisiana connections?

Now if we can only find a home for Crowton...

It's not, certainly not on me.
Overall, it was a good go, and I enjoyed how Ranters are capable of competing with resolve, mainly at the back-end of the thread. I want that. You want that.

IMHO, he decided to come here and get some great experience, and parlay that into replacing Crowden as OC someday very soon. I think he's still raw about getting passed over for Fla.'s OC job when Mullen left last yr., despite having worked w/U. Meyer at Bowling Green, Utah and Fla.
Also, more money and getting to take on the new passing game coordinator in addition to coaching up the WRs.
No LA ties that I could find. He played at Colorado St., and coached at Kent State.
