yeah, i know the economy is tough for everyone but we really just need 500 fans to either order a new plate or donate $25 (more if you can swing it) and we're there! personally, I skipped the booze on Saturday and donated the money I saved from not drinking one day out of my weekend...small price to pay to make this happen

Yeah, that's why I took it upon myself to "push" the chapter's campaign a little bit on these message boards...I have it on "good authority" that they are seriously trying to make this happen as quickly as possible and I'm itching to get the plates on my vehicles.

I've mentioned to the Atlanta chapter that we should solicit e-mail addresses from the LSUAA (or ask to have them send an e-mail for us) and/or advertise in the Alumni magazine. No response.

great idea...no promises, but I'll see what I can do since I seem to have someone's ear at the moment...and I'm told we're already getting traction -> couple of big donations came in the past 24 hours and a handful more applications...keep spreading the word!

Excellent. yeah, i heard that Alabama and Tennessee were gonna be issuing their plates this year. i also heard that Ole Miss and UNC are pretty close to hitting their number and getting their plates...

so i just got word that there will be a write-up about our efforts in the next issue of the LSUAA magazine...ask and ye shall receive - now, let's just hope that it reaches some more folks who want to get license plates or even better, some alums with generous donation pockets to help out our cause!
