Go with the youngsters?

What's you guys take on benching players like Donnie Welter and some of our other vets who've underperformed in place of some younger guy? I thought Deculus and Charles looked good, Taylor and Phillips have played well and maybe even handing the keys over to Brennan. I'm not sure if the second half play calling was just O being his normal putrid self or that there's just no confidence in Etling on 3rd and medium to long but if the latter is the case Brannan needs to start. To me Florida was offensively inept and when we face the meat of this schedule I don't have much confidence we can win games. Why not follow the Uga example and take our lumps with our youngsters so that next year we can be competitive? Maybe even upset some of the tougher opponents this year if things click for Brennan. Even if he has a few turnovers his ability to push the ball downfield maybe a productive tradeoff.

Donnie Welter, that's a good one. I thought that was unintentional for a second.

Lol I almost gave him the middle name of Dunson as well. But at least Dunson hit people when he actually was around them.

I agree with all you say minus Deculus looking good. In his defense he's a true freshman but dude isn't ready to start snap to snap. Im not down on him though

Yes he had that one missed assignment that stood out but overall the pass protection got better with the youngsters. Couldn't say if the run blocking was better or worse because Florida knew that we were in run run pass punt mode after the first drive if the second half.
