You guys are missing my point...Either you can't comprehend or blind to the LSU football record beginning with the 2012 Regular Season....how many SEC losses since then? How many SEC Championship game appearances since then? We are a mediocre program in the SEC right now. Who was the head coach from 2012 through 2 games into the 2016 season? Again, thank you Les Miles for your 116 wins and damn you for dragging our program down in your last 4 seasons plus 2 games.

Hey Roaring ease up. Miles had a great 2011 team. My point was "what did he do beginning with the 2012 season....down down down to where we are now. I am glad you love Miles so much

you don't have to "love Miles so much" to acknowledge what he did.

Orgeron was the recruiting coordinator under Miles at the end. So if anything, you have to also accept that he (O) has a hand in this current group of players.

The excuse used to be that Miles had all this talent and wasted it, now the excuse apparently is that Miles drove all the talent away??? What the frick is that?

Miles is irrelevant now, he's no longer the coach.

Orgeron is, in title at least, and he's responsible for this. He had a decent O line returning and that's fallen to shite. He has a preseason 1st Team All American at RB, a returning starter at QB and WR, All American at DE and tons of highly regarded guys 'getting their chance' now. This wasn't a rebuilding job, Miles was pushed out because the team was "only" winning 9-10 games a year.

I fear that we might look back on this and realize what a disastrous mistake we made... we could be the next Tennessee.

No, we aren't missing the point.

How many SEC Championships... meaning how many times we finished ahead of fricking Alabama in the SEC West? Yep, we didn't beat Alabama. You do realize you can load Ohio State, Florida State, Oklahoma etc up, put them in the SEC West, and they also don't take the division from Bama most of the time?

Would you suggest would also consider burning the program to the ground?

I was happy with the fact Orgeron got the job. I am sorry he has to deal with the depleted roster Miles left him.
Here you have example of the Cheerio.
CEO inherits Composite #2, #5, #2 and owns the regression to #7 all himself.
Besides above fact, he was the Recruiting Coordinator for a couple of those years.

LSU fanbase got spoiled. Wanted more. frequent 10 win seasons and top 10 appearances weren't enough. Difficult to stay up there for as many years as we did. It's just one loss, but I predict more to come. It's inevitable. I hope O can turn it around, but I also hope my dog quits shitting on the floor.

Assuming you are correct about LSUs decent into mediocrity, you still felt that O was the right to guy to build it back up? You say you supported the O hire so I'm assuming you thought he could rebuild LSUs team. If so you are a special kind of retarded. I can almost understand the idiots that thought all O had to do was maintain the program, but you actually thought he could rebuild it?? Holy shite

Our state will have talent but OUR LSU fans turn them away with their negativity , Coach Miles would have had us several more NCs ,but the squeaky wheel fan base wanted sabin and and sent him some of our 5 stars to keep him where is at !

I was happy with O, but I would have been happy with ABM. I am not retarded, O is no Saban....I don't know if there is another Saban. At least you recognize that a rebuild is necessary and our descent is no assumption...its a fact. Do you think O is better than Hallman or DiNardo was? Remember its DiNardo who brought back the magic. The rebuild has to start somewhere. I don't know what's better reminiscing or looking to the future

No.

MAYBE better than Hallman, but nowhere near Dinardo.

Orgeron had an awful % while at Ole Miss, and despite the fact that we like to laugh at Ole Miss, they won both before and after he was there.

Hell, I'm terrified that Orgeron is the second coming of Hallman, and will reduce this program to a smoking crater like Curly did. If he does, and given that we knew his damn record before hiring him... we'll have to take the title for Stupidist Administration Ever.

In an alternate universe, Les Miles' LSU beat Miss State the other night. We're 3-0 right now and will run undefeated until week 7, including a win at Florida. We lose against Auburn, beat Ole Miss, lose against Bama, beat Arkansas, lose to Tennessee and beat A&M. We end the year 9-3 and beat Purdue in the 2017 Outback Bowl and we go into the offseason with a 10 win season and everyone bitching about how we can't ever beat Bama.

In reality, we have Ed Orgeron as a head coach. The days of regular 10 win seasons are gone because we just didn't know what we had.

Now we must reap what Alleva has sown. We're Nebraska after Frank Solich but worse. And it'll never be the same. We're literally gonna end up just like them.

May the football gods have mercy on us all.

Is LSU turning into USC, Texas, and Miami? A loss in the national championship ruined each of these power house programs and they never recovered. Are the glory days of LSU football over? Did losing to Alabama in the title game put an end to LSU football?
The young men are human and one can not expect them not to be effected by major championship loss.

Ok, you're slower then I thought. I said "assuming" the decent. I'm saying that if you think O is capable of building a championship program you're crazy. And no, O is not >>>then dinardo. Hallman? Well, not according to their resumes.
