"it's gonna take 8 or 9 wins for Les Miles to keep his job."

It's not outside the realm of possibility that Miles would be on his way out with a 7-5 regular season.

8 or 9.

that's a big difference.

He is just full of shite.

unless he cuts the check himself, for severance, its not happening with 8 wins.

I agree but if those 8 are:

McNeese
Vandy
Miss St
ULM
WVU
Aubie
UT
Ole Miss

then I could see it. Probably not a good win in that 8

I was just a little surprised that he said the talk around town on the first day of practice was how many games Les has to win.

From what I have been reading and hearing most are just talking about the team themselves. Not surprised that gg would say that though.

As I said in the other thread on this topic:

So in order for Les Miles to keep his job, he just needs to continue being mediocre?

Yeah I know what you mean. It's really no different than any other job. If a guy slips below expectations and isn't pleasing what seems to be a majority of the company's customers, then it's only logical that the guy gets replaced.

FWIW, .500 in SEC play is mediocre. Let's hope he turns it around and we start winning double digits again.

with the way things have gone lately a win over Ole Miss would be good. However I'm going to be conservative because of youth,(10-3 with bowl win) but for me to continue to support Les we need at least a split with UF and baby bear's team. And we need to beat Ar-Kansas after reading the crap they are spewing all over the SEC rant.

I have seen mediocre at LSU and 9 wins, the Capital One bowl, and a Top 20 ranking isn't it.

TD is not considered "the talk around town" noonan. You can't talk on here, you can post, so therefore he would have said the posts around town...
Sincerly,
gg

If the 4 losses are from our divisional rivals and our common opponent in the East (Florida), I am willing to bet something substantial.
