The playoff bowls don't appear to be significantly different.

The Texas Bowl is really going all out for the players. A belt buckle and an alpaca blanket?

Hello it does list a Gift suite? "Product details are provided as they were available as of Dec. 1. Most watches, rings, clothing, luggage and footballs are custom-made with the bowl logo. Gift suites are set up as private events in which game participants, and often bowl VIPs, are given an order form and allowed to select a gift, or gifts, up to a value that is predetermined by each specific bowl, not to exceed the NCAA limit of $550 per person. Additionally, teams listed may not reflect the noted conference affiliations. If a conference does not have enough bowl-eligible schools, a replacement school can be selected."

Fossil watches are $100 up woo hoo not. How many of these kids were watches? I haven't since the 90's.

I was just about to post that nobody seemed to catch that they weren't describing the gift suites, just the gifts that everyone receives.

I don't really see any gifts from any bowl that really stand out.

NCAA has a limit on the value of gifts to athletes. Thanks, Mark Emmert....

Well I mean you can't have the players reaping too much of a benefit in these yearly money grabs, that would just be improper

The gift suites are the best.
It's a way to get around the $550 limit because they get these items at basically cost.

They have high-end electronics, mountain bikes, even home-theater recliners. I know Sony and Oakley usually provide gear that's not in even stores yet. The recliner that was offered last year was the Southern Motion’s Viva, a powered home theater recliner that has two USB ports that can charge mobile devices.

Last year the Cotton Bowl gave out a game logoed Fossil watch, Beats by Dre headphones and an iPad Mini.

They were originally going to offer a CD collection of show tunes. But when it was determined that TAMU wasn't going there that one fell through.
