Yeah he "fouled" him but you aren't getting that call at that point in the game. It's such a pussy move to try and get it instead of getting a shot up. Glad the refs didn't reward it. Plus he's not hitting 3 free throws anyways

I don't know if the guy was trying to get fouled or not, and I admitted earlier that UGA's last 25 seconds in no way deserved a ref's call to bail them out of never even getting close to a shot off, but I think that TQ fouled him with his arm. And you are proabably correct that the guy wouldn't have made all 3 free throws, but I don't trust us to come down with a rebound.

He was looking for the foul. He led the SEC in getting to the line last year and it's part of his game. It shouldn't have been on his mind in that situation, though. Just a horrible possession and grasping at straws at that point.

That was basically a miracle comeback. We had nothing going for us until TQ started going Chris Jackson.

Wasn't sure if I was misreading Malone or not. But yea, that's exactly my impression as well. I mean he looked absolutely dumbfounded at times. I actually didn't see much of the game and what part I did see Elbert wasn't playing. Just wondering if he played or not? Haven't seen much of him the last few games. Wonder if he's just not grasping CJJ's system or is he just not good enough to play?

Malone knows the game it is just way to fast for him right now.

That gives me more confidence in his abilities. As long as he has the Basketball intellect he will be more valuable as the game slows down to him. He definitely has the physical tools to be productive.

Players were constantly yelling at him last night to keep up with the switches on where to go. Malone played his heart out last night and certainly helped us out in a time of need...but I dunno about his development here. He needs to get a lot better and quick.

Darcy will always bring the pain with his heart. He also gives you length and a good shot. But that's where the positives stop and extreme negatives start. Not going to sit here and bash on him, but I don't understand why Odo got no minutes after those fouls (one of which was very questionable), and Darcy plays 17 minutes. Pretty sure Odo could have gotten more than 1 rebound in 17 minutes.

Yeah 1 rebound in 17 minutes when you're a 7 footer is completely unacceptable. Goes to show how uga out rebound us on the offensive glass alone by 10.

I thought the rebounding issue was more a product of poor on ball defense and secondary rotation.

UGA guards were consistently beating us off the dribble straight line to the goal forcing our bigs to rotate to protect the rim, and our notoriously slow secondary rotation left the weakside open or UGA follow ups all night.

He may look a little lost and slow, but he seemed to be the only guy defending down low in OT. I'm sure he'd probably foul out with significant minutes because he doesn't back down, but that is exactly what we needed last night because our defensive attempts were really bad by the goal at times. They weren't getting easy shots down low when he was in there.
