No matter what anyone says as a visiting Fan and you are not looking for a fight do not under any circumstances go to Walk On's. There is way too much Testosterone there. Hell I'm a Tiger fan and I'm scared to walk by that place on gameday.

I wouldn't even begin to think about trying to drive to the campus. There is a shuttle bus service from a couple of points in town unless they have changed. I'd contact the LSU Sports Info office and find out where they leave from and use them, if at all possible.
Or if that fails, I'd park at one of the malls, get a taxi and make arrangements for the driver to pick me up after the game.
Have fun and get ready for Tiger Bait!

Wear your gator gear, and walk around the campus with the right attitude. Its FOOTBALL, not life, and we love friendly rivalry type talk...tiger bait will be heard many times, but feel free to stop by the tailgating spots and grab a bite to eat. I've been to Florida to see ya'll play us and had a blast......you won't experience a better time than at Tiger Stadium.

The best way to get the full experience is to ask the Vet. School to let you into Mike's habitat so you can pet him. He loves people to pet him.

Other than that, spend the night in New Orleans if you want to go there but Baton Rouge is still better on Friday night and if you stay in N.O. you better get to campus really early or you may end up not being able to get into campus by car because they close it off pretty early. Expect about 150K on campus tailgating.

Olde Tyme. Just keep walking down the bike path along Nicholson from Tailgatin Tigers Nicholson/Burbank tailgate to Tiger stadium.

Our tailgate (Tiger Tailgating.com)is along that bike path as well - you will see 10-12 gator fans at ours as well - lots of friends coming in town for this one. We have 5 tents with a blue FEMA tarp over the whole thing - closer to the old Alex box on the bike path.

Y'all are welcome to stop by... fahitas (beef, chicken, gator) on the menu.

I always like to park on Dalrymple Drive in front of the Fraternity Houses facing away from Campus and Highland Drive. I seem to get off campus pretty quick after the game. Set your Navigation to Hammond, La. and it should take you across the lake and to Interstate 10. To get parking there I'm guessing you will need to park no later then 11am. Just spend the day on campus. The Student Union is a good place to start and get your bearings and ask questions. Then head out from there. You will be able to see the Stadium across campus from the Parade Grounds in front of the Student Union. Enjoy being Tiger Bait for a day.

Ace, Mike is never tranquilized for the games. Why do you think he has made so few games since coming here? Saying crap like this will keep the tree huggers itching to set Mike free.

For Seafood in New Orleans try Deanies on Lake avenue off of Veterans blvd. In Baton Rouge, I suggest Parrin's for seafood. Pinneta's or Gino's for Italian. If you want something quick Brewbauchers for poboys.

He's right... They try to get him set free but they leave the couple at that Tigerland Gas station to sit and woller in shite in cages smaller than my shop. Them guys need the help, Mike lives better than I do....

If you are coming up Saturday your first priority is to park. Forget everything else until you find a parking spot. Also find a parking spot as soon as possible. And if you forgot find somewhere to park you car. In fact you should just leave now a go park you car.

After that enjoy the day it should be one hell of a game. I expect the atmosphere to be crazy and food and beer and liquor to be plentiful. Parking spots.... Not so much.

i just saw the indian mounds on google maps, didn't realize they were visible from satellite, they are much larger than i thought they were.

Imagery available to civilians is really amazing these days. I could even see the little trailer in the parking lot of the Super Dome that I used as a HQ during the crisis after Hurricane Katrina on Google Maps.

I went to BR in 2003 for the game. Whoever said it said it best - walk around - keep a smile and a positive and fun attitude, and you'll have a great time. There will be a few drunks who will do the Tiger Bait thing - just smile and laugh. It is fun. These guys know how to do it. I had more food than I could eat, and more beer than I could drink. When we won the game, the fans were exceptional. I was blown away. You will be too. Win or lose it will be a memory you will be glad to have.

On that note, I'll be there Sat night as well - I can't wait. I wish we were going to be at full strength, but whatever. We'll give it our best shot. The key will be for our D to shut you down and hope it is enough for Brantley.

We used to look at the schedule and ask when we are playing Tennessee and Florida State. Not the case anymore.

See y'all Saturday.

I'm with you, nickelbeer. I live in Connecticut, and pick one game every year, usually a road game. I picked Baton Rouge for 2009 while in Jax last year for the cocktail party, knowing even then that this would be the Gators biggest test of the SEC schedule.

I tell you what, if I'm treated half as well on Saturday as everyone has treated me here, I know I'll have a great time.

To all those who've invited me to their tailgates, I appreciate the hospitality and will try to take you up on it. While beer is always a good icebreaker, does anyone have any requests for something stronger? I've always been partial to Southern Comfort or Jameson's myself, but if you have a preference, let me know.

Count Chocula, unless you are really desperate for tix, you wouldn't want mine. Section 633. We'll be on the 25 yard line, but may be looking DOWN at the light towers!!

For sure, a day of good weather, good food and good fun would be complemented with a Gator win, but would also ease the sting of a Gator loss.

Thanks again, everyone, hope to see some of you on Saturday, especially MIKE THE TIGER!!
