Gathers will be a bigger disappointment than Jones

If Jones is able to flip gathers, most of the people complaining here will be more disappointed with Gathers. He's not the program savior that many of you are making him out to be.

He has improved. I don't think many people expect him to be the program savior that some had touted him to be.

he's a decent big, which is what we need, i wouldn't be disappointed with decent

I agree. I persanally will not be disappointed if he's decent but some people are now acting like he's a one and done.

If the options are Gathers or the tuba player, I'll take Gathers.

People saw him as a freshman and sophomore and assumed he could be that type of player. He didn't improve as much as some thought, though he is still a very, very good high school player.

I agree. No one is expecting anything out of Jones. People are way too excited about Gathers, who will be a solid player, but he does not look like a real difference maker, especially when you factor in this is the worst year I have ever seen for high school basketball.

Who said Gathers was a savior? What most have said is LSU should be able to keep legit talent at home whoever the coach is.
