Maybe, doubt Auburn is ranked in the top 25 with a win vs State though.

there arent any top 25 matchups as the polls sit today. i still highly doubt it. if there arent any marquee matchups they'll probably use the opportunity to go somewhere they would normally never go. or they may go out west for the arizona state game (if they win this week).

what are the competing games for the A&M@LSU weekend? That'd have to be ESPN's top choice for visiting BR this year.

fwiw, I never watch gameday anymore, or anything other than live football on ESPN.

All it does is bring traffic to campus earlier, which means I have to go earlier to hold a spot for my crew

My guess is the Holy War. They like to go to different places to spice things up.

Florida vs. Tennessee because of the SEC East rivalry is probably the best match-up of the day.

If Arizona St. can win this week then I could see them going to St. @ Stanford. Could be the only top 25 match up of the week. The game is on FOX though so I am not sure if that would effect it.

I could also see them try and hold out for Oregon @ Stanford though.

Even if it wasn't a home and home, my own personal rules are that if you lose at home to a OOC team you should make the return trip. That would be a tremendous rule. I'd love to see Ole Miss at Jacksonville St. and State at Maine. Obviously, LSU would have to go to Birmingham to dominate UAB again.

Auburn would have to beat MSU. Arizona St at Stanford is the more likely possibility though, especially if ASU beats Wisconsin this weekend and enters the top 25.

Utah/BYU another solid option.

Other potential options:

Tennessee at (18)Florida--probably out if UT gets hammered by Oregon, a good shot if they beat Oregon

Michigan State at (21) Notre Dame--ND twice in three weeks may be too much, plus they lost to Mich.

Arizona St. at (5) Stanford--ASU may be ranked if they beat Wisconsin this week and this gives them a rare west coast chance, but also is a night game on FOX

Kansas St. at Texas--no rankings, but it is the ABC night game and they are big names

Another factor is that there is a virtual certainty that they will be at the Cocktail Party for Florida-Georgia and at Tuscaloosa for Alabama-LSU. Stanford-Oregon is a Thursday night game, so this may be their best chance to get out to the West Coast if ASU is ranked.
