LSU – Fr. RHP Eric Walker (8-1, 3.46 ERA, 93.2 IP, 23 BB, 78 SO)
OSU – So. RHP Bryce Fehmel (5-2, 3.80 ERA, 71.0 IP, 17 BB, 45 SO)

What is the word on this cat? I see low strike out numbers and his ERA is "high" for this staff's standards.

Fehmel has half of their losses? That's gotta suck.

That BB/K ratio disparity makes me happy. Six more walks and 33 more Ks.

I'm retarded

This is the guy you have to get to on their staff because it doesnt get any worse than him.

He pitched a gem against Vandy in the supers, but he's been the guy to struggle for OSU this year when they've had pitching struggles. Not a strikeout guy whatsoever. Lots of balls will be put into play tonight. OSU plays great defense like we do, so his ERA isn't as high as it probably should be.

I hope LSU grinds out is at bats by being patient and driving up the pitcher's pitch count. Get those walks instead of making outs while swinging at the first pitch. Make the pitcher work.

Beaver bullpen will be busy by the end of the 2nd.
LSU got all their bs out of the way Saturday, and are going to knock this boy all over the park.

I disagree..The starter may be the worst arm they see all game....be aggressive and do the damage against him before the get into a strong bullpen.

He will be on a very short leash believe that. He is the worse of the group if you want to call him that. They will go to their bullpen quick as we will.

Honestly the FSU pitcher was the prototypical kryptonite type for LSU

I'm guessing we see Rasmussen early if we start getting on base and score a run of two.

Need to ambush this pitcher and put up 4 or 5 before their bullpen can get ready.

We just need to go out there and play LSU baseball. If we play ball like this team knows how and has been, I like our chances. If we play like we did against florida state, idk, we probably lose tonight. I believe Saturdays game against florida state was the chance to get us a loss, but we still found a way to win. I like our chances tonight with walker on the mound. Geaux Tigers! frick the Beavers!

Doubt we see Rasmussen. They are going to save him for Wednesday in case of a loss, kind of like what we are doing with Poche.

What the OSU fans are saying.

Just my opinion but this game is huge. If Fehmel is able to preform on the same level he did in the Supers, it sure makes are pitching situation far better. From what I have seen soo far is most of these teams do not like the breaking balls. Fehmel keeps the Junk down I think we are in great shape. Sure would make it easier to use Rass as the Closer throughout the CWS. Go Beav's....
Facing Raz's heater after a steady diet of Fehmel has to be difficult for a hitter to adjust to
