WR - A
TE - F; Dickson fumble, DeSean drop, seemed like lackluster blocking
OL - C
QB - B- (no TO's; seemed like AJ found some confidence in the 2nd half)
RB - B+

Not sure who to fault on all the screen pass and other flubs. Seemed like good play calls but poor execution.

DL - C; were dominated early but apart from the long run to start the 2nd they played great in the 2nd half.
LB - B; Kwon looked awesome; everyone else meh to bad
DB - A+

ST's - B; Colby made e'thing; but we flubbed a punt, had a KO OB at a critical juncture. Keehn punted pretty well otherwise. KO coverage was good.

My two biggest X factors for this to be a special season were: 1) can we pass the ball well enough to keep D's honest and 2) will we be strong enough up the middle on D.

I didn't see a lot to convince me on either case.

I feel like the offensive line was in a bad spot. Wisky ran run blitzes all night long and sent more than LSU could block. After Jennings started cutting loose some of those throws in the second half they were able to create movement. I was really impressed with the playmaking ability of our wide receivers. Hopefully the passing game can build on the second half that they had which will help the run game immensely.

I can't really argue with the OP grades. Play calling I felt hurt Jennings some as well. 3rd & 7 or longer multiple times. Rarely threw the ball on 1st and 2nd downs. Before the fake punt LSU was 1 for 9 on third down conversions. With a young qb LSU has to get more 3rd and manageable. However, loved the effort and passion on the comeback. Young team finished the game and gained experience in winning the 4th quarter!

It's pretty obvious that db's do not enjoy tackling Diarse.

Will not ready any post in this thread that doesn't give TEs an F. Big disappointment IMO when watching that game.

Eta: how does smith drop that pass?

Unfortunately Keehn continues his trend of shanking at least 1 punt per game.

Both were catchable balls, fournette had his hands on both and was looking downfield. Will come with time.

Looks about right. OL felt like an F just because it was supposed to the strength of the offense and was mediocre at best. I hope it was just first game issues.

You need to break out FB from the RBs. Go back and watch how bad Neighbors was as a lead blocker. He whiffed more than a bull fighter. I bet we see Jones next game.

I would need to watch the replay but for those plays to work the throws need to be placed better. IOW, LF could've caught them but they still wouldn't have resulted in positive yds.

Agree with this, but it will improve.
