What percentages would you place on three possible future scenarios?

Here are mine

1) Next coach delivers similar winning % as Miles - 45%

2) Nick Saban type results (multiple national championships) - 5%

3) Winning results somewhere between Miles-like and Saban-like - 10%

4) The Return of the Dark Ages of LSU Football ( 80's and 90's type of turmoil similar to what Texas, USC and Tennessee are experiencing now) - 40%

What you got?

Wouldn't this make sense to do it for the various potential coaches being rumored? They would look different between getting Jimbo, Herman, Mullen, etc.

Won't have a clue until they hire. Might as well consult the magic 8 ball.

Totally depends on hire and since Saban didn't have bama like success here his record and Miles records here are the same essentially. I would expect 10-12 wins over the next two years at least

I am just hoping for 3.

I don't think 4. is very likely. Too much talent in the state, If we hire someone who can recruit well be fine.

in the SEC west, the highest percentage should be somewhere between the Dark Ages and miles percentages. i'm gonna say

1) 65% chance of winning 7 to 8 games/yr
2) 1% saban like numbers (at bama)
3) 20% chance of between miles and saban like
4) 14% chance of dark ages returning

NOTE: the 80's were NOT the dark ages.

our dark ages began with hiring cheap arse coaches. we have learned that lesson and have too much at stake today. we could easily end up with a Sumlin like hire and not have the money to get rid of him for awhile.

you sir are what's wrong with our fan base. no one has got saban like numbers (maybe meyer) and you act like they grow on trees. in fact, bear Bryant didn't have saban like numbers, he just coached a lotd longer.

Well Stovall and Archer records were pretty much Dark Ages type. Stovall didn't win a single SEC game his last year.

I'll take door number 2. If we get an offensive minded coach (Jimbo), we lose fewer games than now. Yes, we're talking 10,11, 12 win seasons. I think we're that talented and that underutilized.
