Fun Fact about Tiger Stadium. . .Gate 13

You know how some buildings don't have a "floor 13" or airplanes don't have "row 13" b/c it's considered unlucky. Well - not sure if you realized that Tiger Stadium doesn't have a Gate 13. There IS a gate where Gate 13 should be - It's the Visitor's Entrance. Yes - this was by design.

out of curiosity, where is the other gate 12? I've used gate 12 to enter the stadium since I was 6 years old, and I'm now 64. I've never noticed another. I see Gate 11 on the right side, and Visitors Gate to it's left. So where might I find it?

Both Gate 12 entrances are side by side. Oddly enough I took this photo earlier today. Gate 12 is our season ticket entrance gate, and I wanted to send out a picture to some people celebrating the start of the season.

Gate 13 is like platform 9 3/4. You just have to run at the wall between 12 and visitors, and you will zip right through. Little known fact: There is free beer inside the gate.
