From Dandy D - Mike Detillier - it was shameful, Selfish and cold-hearted

from F. King Alexander on down to Alleva, not a word from the administration. If there was not a hot fire on this from those in power why not issue a statement that the rumors were totally untrue and not put your coach, his assistants, the players, fans and the school through this? Selfish and cold-hearted. Now Miles and his assistants have to work to play damage control from efforts by some people at LSU and some prominent boosters.
But then he says:

What is the "x factor" is that because of the fiasco created by some of the school administration team and boosters, Les Miles has become a major media figure. Every 17- or 18-year-old prospect saw how the fans and players on the team rallied around Miles. The thought is "Hey, I want to play for that guy too." It's a crazy deal, but I think you see immediately Les Miles on the road seizing the moment with the top commitments and targets, and Coach Orgeron and Frank Wilson are doing the same. People understand fighting through adversity. For all the gloom and doom talk about recruiting, I've got a feeling that might not be what some are saying and if played right by the staff and Miles it becomes a plus on how the players showed their affection for him,

It is sad that right now CLM's biggest hurdle to overcome is the administration and boosters who are supposed to actually support LSU and the football team.

Losing 3 straight by double digits and the current trend of the offense is what's really sad.

His biggest hurdle is his coaching, the people who cared about the future of the program had a plan in place to replace him the fans and media who care more about Miles than the program wanted to keep him regardless of the decline. You seem to support Miles not the program

Fix the offense,
Start Guice and put in with LF..
Learn to throw short route passes
Use the TE in the passing game
Keep Beckwith and all starting Juniors
Find a punter
Learn to tackle on Special teams
Find a QB in this class
Win it all next year or retire

You are the worst poster on this site by far...

Mike D also all but guaranteed that Miles would use a two QB system this year.

There was a hire. Hence no need for a statement. Then the hire fell through. Then the statement.
This is not terribly difficult to understand.

Believe half of what you read... But, no matter what, Alleva didn't back up his employee. Either get behind your guy or just fire him. Don't leave him wondering about his job security when it's a high-profile gig. No matter his intentions, Alleva hurt LSU locally and nationally.
After watching the dumpster fire that was Steve Patterson at Texas, I'm so tired of ADs ruining college football. Be careful because the people making decisions are largely working in terms of greed and self promotion. See the example of Patterson and then Dave Brandon at Michigan.

How Michigan Lost Its Fans
quote:
Fans are fed up of paying steakhouse prices for junk food opponents, then sitting through ads for $9,000 corporate receptions at Michigan Stadium. The more they cater to TV, the more fans get turned off.
quote:
Treat your fans like customers, and they’ll behave that way, reducing their irrational love for their team to a cool-headed, dollars-and-cents decision to buy tickets, with all the emotion of buying new tires. After a friend of mine took his kids to a game, he told me, “Michigan athletics used to feel like something we shared. Now it’s something they hoard. Anything of value they put a price tag on. And what’s been permanently banished is any sense of generosity.”

If Miles gets his groove back and stomps on the bowl opponent, it could be great for recruiting.

because they were going to fire him

His recent record has nothing to do with any of this right?

So this is going to help recruiting?

His biggest hurdle is finding a QB who can operate his offense. We can't complete a simple slant route or passes to Tight ends and running backs.

please spare me the hearts and flowers crap. les miles has a job that pays him 4 million a year with a big buyout.
to think of replacing him is not treating him unfairly.
