The old rules allowed you to play in a few games, then choose to reshirt.
That rule changed FOURTEEN years ago ! This comes up every darn season, as a previous poster said.

1 snap and you lose redshirt
incorrect.... you lose redshirt status if you play a snap after halftime of the third game, or 10 quarters.....

Hunter played on special teams.
Definitely didn't see Hill and expected to. If we didn't play him against NT, we shouldn't play him at all. Once Ware comes back we'll have 4 and that's enough. We wasted Magee's last year and will probably waste Hill's this year but if that is the case(and likely will be), we should've given him some carries on Saturday.

I too argued at one time that we should entertain RS'ing Hill and Magee but H-Town Tiger (sp?) had some pretty compelling reasons why it wouldn't but us much (would have to look up the threads).
The best reason I could come up with is that by RS'ing them, it might keep us out of a recruiting class of "having" to sign a RB when we didn't want to at the expense of having that spot available for someone else that we really did want.

I agree with what you are saying, but with Hill, he will play because he asked Miles to play him regardless of how many snaps he gets. Kid wants to play, redshirt be damned

You should know that NCAA rules indicate that any competition, regardless of time, during a season counts as one of your seasons of competition in that sport. It does not matter how long you were involved in a particular competition (for example, one play in a football game, one point in a volleyball match); you will be charged with one season of competition.

I think they wanted to redshirt Keehn but unfortunately Wing got hurt.
Not sure.. Keehn is 22 or 23 (can't remember exactly) and Wing could very well be gone after this season, so a little game experience couldn't hurt.

You post this as if you know it's a fact and it's completely incorrect
