Definitely raised his appeal to scouts as well. Leading that summer league in hitting shows great bat control with a wood bat.

If Paul finds the right player for center field, we should be pretty strong defensively up the middle. This, along with two weekend starters returning, should make us difficult to score on this spring.

Really you have 3 weekend starters returning since Gilbert was the number 3 for a decent part of the year. Now will he be in that spot next year?

If LSU can come up with a more consistent with his power 3rd sacker, LSU could have the most offensive infield in the league. Mix in a consistent hitting catcher & LSU could set a team record for runs scored when you consider how good the outfield should be, too.
