"UTSA: Sources tell FootballScoop UTSA is strongly considering Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer and LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson for their head coaching opening. We hear a decision should be public tomorrow; but possibly later this evening."

Maybe he's just using this as a pay raise.... He's listed as an associate head coach/recruiting coordinator for LSU I believe

It might go down (either way) as soon as tonight. UTSA previously said they'd go up to $750-$800 for right HC.

I get that he would want to be a HC, but why not go from where he is to OC at a P5 school first?

The dude already makes a shite load of money and has for awhile. If his goal is to be a HC, which it seems like it is, I can't fault him for jumping. With his recruiting prowess, and Texas being fertile recruiting ground, he would kill it on the recruiting trail. Not sure about his HC abilities, but I'm sure he would be fine.

Memphis was one of the worst jobs in CFB when Porter was hired. It was nowhere near the job it is today.
