It would have been a good game, Tulane Qb was NFL caliber and would have given LSU defense a tough time. Those were the days when 8-4 was considered an outstanding season by LSU

Yep, then Tulane's president whined and complained and that's why we had teams like Northern Illinois and Boise St in BCS games.

Tulane, Tepper after Curly Hallman was the worst thing to happen to LSU football in my fanhood.

The Tigers had better overall talent, but Tulane had the better team that year. Tulane by at least 10 in my opinion.

This game woulda been a high scoring game that LSU would have lost in the 4th quarter. Faulk and Mealey would have put up insane rushing yards that resulted in a loss thanks to a Tepper defense that was incapable of stopping game winning drives.
