I think most of us feel somewhat offended and angered when opponent fans improperly attack our hospitality, education, intelligence, moral standing, and class. I know many who pride themselves in being a part of THE BEST college football experience in the country. Many who go out of their way to ensure visitors are welcome and enjoy the 1 of a kind LSU football experience.
I wasnt able to make this game. I am, have been, and always will be a rabid LSU fan. I watched media coverage and individual recorded footage of pre game partying and celebrations. I saw numerous pictures from pregame through next day celebrations. Sadly I saw much of what the Clemson fan described.
I find Tiger baiting, general taunting like "we aren't GT" and "you play a bunch of cupcakes" to be generally humorous and perfectly ok. Think most fans of other schools would agree. Unfortunately, intentionally confrontational vulgarity and non provoked verbal assaults are an embarrassment to LSU, it's fans, and the state of La in general.
It is really too bad, that the sportsmanship and hospitality of an entire fan base and state is increasingly tarnished be the senseless acts of a minority of reckless fans. More so, that those actions are not solely perpetuated by immature drunk college kids but by socially uninhibited mature adults.

Maybe so, but NOLA had our backs big time. Buildings lit up in purple and gold, signs in just about every restaurant and bar window, billboards, flags hanging from every balcony in the Quarter, etc.

A little harmless heckling doesn't hurt anyone. That's what makes LSU's fans so hostile and the environment so tough to play in...it's not like they were going around throwing haymakers taunting Clemson fans or breaking beer bottles over their head. Cry more with the Clemson fans. It's sports. You're suppose to heckle the opposing fanbase. It's how you do it that matters and it didn't sound like anyone was overly aggressive they were just being snowflakes. Those same people would've just invited Clemson to a tailgate right before the game giving them a beer. When the game is moving it's time to get hostile.
If the worst they have to complain about is some profanity on a shirt, cursing their fans out, and some bold old fricker boasting about his team in their seats...then they don't want to meet other SEC fanbases. I don't see big names across the country going to a Clemson experience and there's a reason why LSU has the reputation it does.
