ND fans absolutely hate that he left and is having this type of "success" already. Every single one of them is butt hurt.

Calls LSU a dumpster fire.

Also says BK took ND as far as he could.

Exactly. That’s why he’s here now. fricking idiot.

Ok. I’ll say it…

As many times as this subject has been posted and people poking fun at ND….

This is no different than the hate LSU fans have for Nick Saban. You’re pretty much throwing stones in a glass house.

It's IN a glass house. But your point is valid.

BK has his highest rated class ever with only 21 commits compared to his 25+ commit classes at ND still aren’t able to match. His first class at LSU once it’s complete will blow his ND classes out of the water. Also ND is barely allowed to take any transfers from the portal so I’m sure that had a factor in him leaving.

On one hand, I get it. We were mad that Saban pussyfooted around going to the Dolphins until the final hour and seemed checked out against Iowa, and doubly mad when he went to Bama just 2 years later.

He gave them a good decade or so after some disastrous hires of Weis and Willingham and stabilized the program. It's still too recent but over time they'll get over it.

That is the part that is tough for the ND fans to accept. What Kelly said without saying by leaving is that he felt he could never win a National Championship at ND and he had an opportunity to go to a place where recent history has proven he could.

I'm sure ND fans are looking at it the same way LSU fans looked at the program when Les was fired. LSU fans thought Les was a good coach, who won, a lot, but was incapable of getting LSU over the hump to win another championship. ND fans are hopeful that Freeman can get them over the hump.

The difference is that Kelly's tenure at ND was the exception, not the rule, for much of the period from 1995 to today. ND had not done much during that time with any HC besides Kelly, whereas Kelly now comes to the ONLY program in America that has had three separate HC's win championships in the last 20+ years.

That's not to say Freeman won't be great at ND, nor that Kelly won't bust at LSU. But if history is any indicator of future results it is a MUCH more certain bet Kelly wins a championship at LSU vs. ND winning one with Freeman.

It’s not exactly the same…Nick won a NC here then left for the NFL and LSU fans can’t stand him because he came back to Bama, but ND fans are taking it to another extreme because their image has been tarnished…

No one had left ND for another college head coaching job in over 100 years and this is what is eating them…
