Isn’t Hodgkins the most treatable version? Prayers sent.

Wishing him luck. Isnt this the same thing the RB from Pitt had?

Everybody should have a physical with bloodwork every year.

Oh no.
Prayers sent.

I was listening to WWL an hour ago and they were talking about his possibly being the answer to our TE problems.

This shows how things need to be kept in their proper perspective.

It is good they caught this early, especially if he was having regular diffs done, and I assume he has regularly for the NFL, they probably caught this really early.

Nothing gets past a physical in the NFL. Praying for the young man. No one should have to deal with cancer.

Life sucks and we must adapt. Prayers to this young man. I myself am dealing with cancer and my wife died from it at 46…
None of us are promised tomorrow. Fight this and get well!

Yes, but both have high survivability rates with modern treatment. Hodgkins is also more common in men under 40.

Best of luck to Foster. He’s only 25 and has an entire life ahead of him.

Amen. Dx'd @ 23 at end of Jr. year at LSU in '99. Chemo didn't do the job, so had stem cell transplant in Houston. Celebrated 23 years cancer free in Feb. Gave me totally different perspective on life and shaped my career in healthcare.

Foster is young, healthy, and in great shape. All that is on his side even if he's stage III or IV. The therapy is no fun, but 6 months & he should *hopefully* be done. Maybe toss in some radiation after to be on the safe side. God speed, Foster! Give it hell!

God bless him. He's about to have a rough time.

Foster was always a fine young man who worked really hard. I wish him the very best.

He needs to get to MD Anderson tomorrow. They didn’t lose anyone on my floor all week

One of my very good friends lost his life to cancer on Christmas Day 2021. He had a very aggressive form of kidney cancer (he initially had testicular cancer 8 years ago and received a clean bill of health every year following, and at the 5-year mark, he was "good to go").

Even though he lost his life, the care that he received at MD Anderson was incredible. Those people are saints. And the entire campus is incredible. Everything there is first class, and all the people we encountered were so accomodating.
