It was unreal. I wish every LSU student could experience that type of moment. Clock is ticking and the Tigers pull it out at the last second. I was in the student section. I remember going AWOL when the clock kept running and LSU wasn't doing anything. Then Flynn dropped back and Byrd made an incredible play. That was followed by pure chaos.

Of the 2007 season this is probably the least memorable "good game" if that makes any sense. I was there like I always am, but aside from the last second touchdown, I don't remember much from this game other than that it was back and forth all night and the ending was awesome.

Spoke with a few former Florida players (med sales reps now) working in the New Orleans area.

Both stated the '07 game in Tiger Stadium was unmatched as far as any experience they had in their playing days. Any other venue paled in comparison.

I was at a friends house most of the night playing poker, trying to catch glimpses of the game here and there. I got home just as that last pass was thrown.

The stadium shook after the Byrd touchdown. It was an experience I will never forget.

First post describes it perfectly. I was pitching a damn fit about the clock running and really thought we were going to screw ourselves. Good thing I'm not in charge

This

Mine was Tennessee '00. I recorded game at home and watched it the next day. When Toefield broke off his 75 yarder, you couldn't even here the commentator speaking in to his microphone!

3-minute mark

The Florida game had sustained noise for what seemed like the whole game. You had 2 top 10 SEC teams, the Heisman campaign of one of tGOAT college players, an electric atmosphere bell to bell, and an incredible game to boot. It was a perfect storm to get to the beginning of the 4th down 10 when they announced #1 USC lost. The stadium went ballistic and the game was delayed for a bit. I recall turning to a buddy midway through the 4th and saying, "Enjoy this. This is the game we'll be telling our grandkids about."

That right there is why Death Valley has the rep it does

It was loud but I don't know if it's ever been louder than when they announced the USC score against Florida the same year.

Since we are talking about other loud moments, I figured I'd throw one in there that doesn't get much mention on here.

08 Bama blocked FG was extremely loud.

I'm not saying it was the louder than the Byrd catch or 07 UF.

However, after Bama had drove down the field, pretty much at will and was lining up for the FG I had little hope. When it was blocked it was pandamonium in the student section. We ended up not pulling it out in OT but my God that was intense.

I remember

1. Byrd td catch...loud
2. Ga 2003....loud
3. Auburn 2001..... Louder

That game was for our first West title. AU was penalized for stomping eye in pre-game. We onside kicked to open game. Recovered and scored. That game had long- term sustained periods of incredible noise.

I was on the opposite side and because the field arches I could see the ball thrown and then Byrd and the ball disappeared when he fell and I had no idea what happened for a second until the crowd noise traveled to my side. That stadium erupted man. That play, Florida of the same year and bama '12 were the loudest I've heard the place.

This! We were in town for the game in great 45-yard line seats with great friends and I remember looking at the clock winding down and Flynn looking at the sideline moving in seemingly slow motion and me screaming, "CALL TIME OUT!!!" And then he snapped it, dropped back and TD!!! It was out of control mayhem after that. One of the best games ever! Sooo glad we were there.

I was halfway up in the middle of the student section. Shock was more of the way to explain it. Just got chills watching that replay video. The Florida game throughout was the loudest, it was about as tense as a game can get.
