I got out of work late and they ran out of parking 4 cars before me, and there were still a few spots if you looked. This was around 7:05 for a 7:00 game. So those complaining about no parking arrived late for the game anyway.

The lines at the concessions were long, but what did you expect when a lot of people were getting their food/beer as soon as they walked into the stadium. After the 4th or 5th, I made 2 separate runs to the stands and did not have to wait longer than 5 minutes.

The problem is there is only one way in and one way out of the parking lot. You can exit in the middle of the park to airline or the end by the saints facility to airline. No way that place can host the sec tournament

We stayed the entire time, as did most people. Getting out of the parking lot was also no problem. We parked in the lot right behind the police department. Was pretty easy getting in and out.

Have you ever been to a live game at any stadium? Whenever there is a large number of people leaving at the same time, there is going to be some delays. I was able to leave after the game, walk across the parking lot to the side street by my car and exit the stadium with minimal delays. I was heading north on David Dr w/in 15-20 minutes. I would consider that to be no problems.

With that said, I agree that Zephyrs field cannot handle the SEC tournament. Especially with people hanging out and tailgaiting before and between games.

Maybe it is just me, but I didn't think Zephyr Field was as much of a dump as people are saying, and I wouldn't say it is any worse than Hoover Met.

I have certainly seen a lot worse Minor League Stadiums.

However up against the likes of the stadium in Memphis and the one in Nashville, Z Field definitely leaves something to be desired.

When it was built, it was one of the best minor league parks around...they just haven't done anything to update or enhance it. It isn't necessarily a dump, but it isn't the "shrine" that it used to be, either.

Yes. And I was out of the parking lot and back onto the highway in less than 20 minutes.

There was ample parking at least right up until game time. The first base side was a cluster, but they had people pulling up right at 7:00 on the third base line and they had plenty of spots available. It was a sold out crowd. lines are to be expected.

The paid attendance on Tuesday was 10,131 and I would think at least 9500+ were there if not 10k. The average attendance for the SEC tourney last year was 7,775 and the championship game had just under 8k.

The stadium is recently under new management, now falling under the same financial umbrella as the Superdome and Arena, and a $10 million renovation is planned.

That is good...it would just be nice if the Zephyrs could get a major league affiliation and keep it for more than a couple years at a time. Very hard to build loyalty that way.

I also don't imagine there are a lot of Marlins fans in NOLA.

Having a good affiliation is more important than how long. It was glorious when they had the Stros. Certainly alot more Houston fans around here than Miami fans. They don't even have Marlin fans in Miami much less Metairie.

I just looked it up....I had no idea they have been affiliated with the Marlins since 2009. I didn't realize I hadn't paid attention in that long...

I always see Marlins fans in the Home Depot parking lot at 6:30 am.
