If Joe gets hurt in the SEC champ game in 2019, do you feel the same way? That LSU wouldn’t or shouldn’t have made the playoffs in that scenario?

Bama is still 50/50 to get in. It will be close between them and FSU.

How outraged would we all be if we went undefeated with Daniels beating Florida St and Alabama. Then… he gets injured and lost for the season. Then… Nuss comes in and beats Florida and Texas A&M and gets a concussion. We then have to play Georgia in the conference title game with Ricky Collins and win! How pissed off would we be if everyone used the argument that we didn’t deserve to play in the playoffs only because Daniels wasn’t available.
I’d quit watching college football forever if that happened.

Yes FSU deserves it
As we stand here this morning Bama is a better team than FSU IMO
It will be interesting to see if the team that deserves it gets in over the better team (and I think FSU does get the last spot)

Of course we would be outraged like Florida state fans would be but without their starting qb they aren’t a competitor like the others. If we are gonna do this though I would leave Washington out as well it’s obvious they aren’t one of the four best teams Georgia would smoke them.

Agree with you, but Committee has always said best 4 get in, and FSU is not currently a best 4 team.

That’s the thing. Bama is only better by opinion. There really isn’t any evidence that they are truly better.
The only objective data we have is that FSU has a better record and the ACC has a better head to head record bs the SEC this year.
If looked at objectively, FSU gets in.

Deserve to go vs. four best teams.
FSU deserves to go.
FSU is not currently one of the best four teams.
As somebody who will be watching these games I want the best four teams playing but will not be upset if the teams who "deserve it" get in. Hopefully they'll be a more competitive game at the same time as FSU.

Results matter. You may think UGA would win, but we all thought Oregon would easily beat Wash too. Didn't happen twice.

Florida state lost their starting quarterback they look like trash without him. There is no guessing bama or Georgia would stomp fsu right now, there offense couldn’t keep there defense from being on the field

As has been said numerous times on this board. Ohio State in 2014 lost their starting and 2nd string QB’s and smoked Alabama in the playoff game and won the championship game with 3rd team QB.

LOL. That’s the very definition of a guess.
We thought Bama would smoke Auburn and South Florida
Hell many thought Bama would smoke Texas.
We also thought we could go into Tuscaloosa and beat Bama. Same with Ole Miss
Doesn’t matter what we THINK. It matters what happened.
