They just cant get enough of a push with their front four, and sending those 2 white LB's will result in CEH having a huge day catching the ball.

Travis Etienne is the real deal though, he can score on us so at least they have a chance.

If Sam Ehlinger and Texas can, then it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Lawrence and Clemson can

please note can does not mean will, just a possibility.

The only way Clemson was getting pressure on Fields was when they blitzed like 5 or 6. If they do that to us, our 5-wide will be 1-on-1 with 5 DBs and I like JB getting it out quick. If they don't, JB will sit back there all day until someone finally breaks free. Either way, we'll should move the ball at will.

We've played against good teams this year that have tried different things to slow us down. Some have worked more than others but we have had answers every time and came out on top. Chances are that anything Clemson tries to throw at Joe and this offense they will be ready for. The same can't really be said about Trevor Lawrence and their offense.

What do you think Clemson will have to hold Burrow and your whole offense to .(yards and points), in order to have a chance . This is a hypothetical question. I know a lot of you think your gonna blow our doors in so by answering this you are not saying you think it is gonna happen .

Clemson defense will force some stops. I foresee a close LSU victory. If we turn the ball over, we will lose.

no, the defense is playing better and the extreme heat was probably also a factor but Lawrence is a lot better than Ehlinger, Ross/Higgins are better than Texas WR and Etienne is way better than any RB Texas has. shite Trask moved up and down the field on us for a half in like is second start, so again its not impossible for Clemson do it even though our D is playing better

did you see how Clemson played against OSU's hurry-up offense?

i don't see it. their D won't have time to get set or make proper substitutions with our style of play.

LSU KEYS TO VICTORY
1. Tempo offense
2. Defense - prepare for lanky Lawrence to run often.

This game feels like the Bama game...we will jump out to quick big lead...Clemson always starts slow...then we hold on for 10 pt win.

You have to replicate Auburn, IMO. It’s not the yards but the points. We had 500+ yd on Auburn but only 23 pts. Clemson does that and they can easily win.

Ever heard of ball control?

Long, scoring, time consuming drives can keep Joe off the field better than any defense can.

It's how the so-called superteam scoring machines are usually beat in such games. Nebraska had a super team, a legit one, then it ran into Miami in the Orange Bowl. Miami was an unknown at the time. Miami played ball control, ate up that clock while scoring touchdowns.

Then Nebraska was so used to blowing out teams all year long that it's starters weren't used to playing in the fourth quarter. Fatigue began to play a role.

Go see Sugar when Bama beat Miami. Super offense was kept off the field. That is how you beat Joe Burrow. Long drives that eat clock and score.

I'm just a tad worried about our zone defense turning guys loose .we can't play only man cuz we want to do some blitzing with zone behind it. Zone blitzing pretty much. Hard to get a sneaky blitz in with o coverage.

We have had qbs miss wide open receivers even since our D starred playing better.sunshine won't miss those throws.

BTW Trevor is absolutely capable of scoring with us if we screw up in zone or against man with there unbelievably good recievers and running back .

These are the 2 best qbs in the country, especially lately. These are the two best collections of skill players and the Two best hybrid linebacker/safteys
Simmons and Stevens are the best two

I don't think any of those things WILL happen but if some combination of A. and C. do happen then we could be in for a game.

We need to finish drives (at least early) with touchdowns to get out to a comfortable lead.

It's not like Joe has ever really choked up when we're down or tied. He did throw an interception while we were down to Auburn, but it was at their 2 yard line and the defense forced a three and out. He had another interception while we were up 7 on Texas, but all others were in trash games. My point being we don't necessarily know how he'll respond if he throws an interception deep in our territory early in the game and Clemson jumps out to a lead. I suspect he'll respond like typical Joe, but who knows.

So.. barring multiple turnovers.. and the inability to consistently score touchdowns in the red zone, we'll win by 10+.

Besides Northwestern State, this team just doesn't come out flat. It's not one of those situations where we just have an off game and lose because of that. We're better than Clemson and unless we freak out after a turnover and play extremely tight or something unexpected, they're screwed.

Not happening.

Y'all keep acting like our defense is average. The only people that might think that are people that don't pay attention.

^^^This....LSU over the last 3 games is #1 in the nation in total defense and #8 in scoring defense and ranks 4th in 3rd down conversions allowed. Clemson over the last 3 games ranks 42nd, 5th, and 117th in the same categories. Think of each teams last 3 opponents and there is really no difference in competition other than Clemson has finally gotten decent opponents (or at least in the last 2 games)

Team Rankings

You can sort the rankings by last 3
