Wade knows this program is broken and will prob need 3 seasons to fix this mess. Wade also understands that basketball resources and facilities need to be updated. He also needs time to get his message out and sell the frick out of this program. The "good old boy network" really fricked up this program and happy that Alleva had the balls to go on the outside and hire a young proven coach who is hungry. He sees the potential in this program and the basketball talent this state has. This guy can turn this around...but he needs patience by the fanbase. This will not change overnight.

I've heard this several times during the coaching change. Is this even true? I thought our facilities were only a few years old and very nice. What basketball facilities are they talking about in particular?

If you put an exciting and winning team out there, no one will give a shite about the PMAC and what it lacks. Duke plays in a high school gym, but the product is good...people show up...they love it. The PMAC ain't the best, but it's not awful either.

The configuration of the PMAC blows arse. The actual PMAC itself is fine. And the practice facility is one of the top 5 in the conference. Not something to go crazy over compared to some of the national powers, but it's certainly not bad.

PMAC itself is pretty terrible. Need to cut down the capicty and give more legroom. Possibly add club seating. Update the screens in the middle. Lighting, sound system, etc. improve the concourse add bathrooms. The new basketball ops and practice facility is nice however that's connected to the PMAC.

or blow it up, play in Parker for a season and build a better facility. Not like the AD and TAF is strapped for cash.

He doesn't have to worry about fans being patient. They won't even show up while he's fixing the team. As a matter of fact, they won't even show up until it is actually fixed and they have proven that they are winning again.

For sure. He has a long and illustrious track record of doing this as a head coach. Slam dunk hire boys.

Yes, I am. Duke has a great basketball product despite the fact that they play in a 70+ year old glorified high school gym that doesn't hold 10,000 people. The point is that we don't need some super-current arena to have a good product and for fans to show up. It's not that hard to understand.

Yes because the fact they are a final four contender every year has nothing to do with it. LSU is hoping to get back to the nit. There is a big fricking difference.

This is a 4 year rebuilding job. That would be the chalk. If it takes 5 instead of 4, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

It took Dale Brown 7 years to win 20 games.

LSU has some historical selling points that not many programs can match from a "sales" perspective.

3 final 4's and multiple other Elite 8's and Sweet 16's.

3 of the Top 50 bball players of all-time.

1 year removed from having #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

LSU can be a consistent Top 3-4 team in the SEC year in and year out with a complete coach.

The practice facility is nice, but the PMAC is a dump compared to almost every other SEC Basketball facility.
