Let say that he does get fired or he leaves for his Mich job because the fanbase cries out for it. Then when he leaves, we no longer have superior recruiting classes. Would you be happy then?

For 4 large LSU can hire an elite coach that is on par w/ Saban and Meyer.

Probably one who is sporting a superbowl ring.

And there's the Catch-22.

Say what you want about his coaching abilities, or lack thereof, Miles has recruited great talent.

That's what's so frustrating. He doesn't seem to be able to figure out how to fully utilize it.

If he ever did, LSU would be the most feared team in college football.

Les Miles should not be fired, so stop that. If he leaves for another job, LSU is one of the premier programs in the country that has a great recruiting base, top 5 compensation and rabid fanbase.

To think LSU couldn't hire some that can recruit and coach as well as Les Miles is just absurd at this point.

It's a legitimate chance, though.

Les is safe at LSU and will not be fired, nor should he be. Has a good chance to be 9-3 or 10-2 and has a tremendous record in bowl games.

But the possibility of the UM gig is real.

I steal someone's quote....

What would make Tiger fans happiest is to win the SEC West, the SEC Championship, the BCS championship after going undefeated and dominating and then to get the icing on the cake by FIRING the coach...all in the same year!!!

You think Miles is the only person on the planet who can recruit?

Who cares if you can recruit but don't know what to do with the talent?

I will be happy to accuse the next coach of winning a national championship with Miles' players.

to repeat the 90s which half of this board embraces. Les Miles will not and should not be fired, but to notice the tendencies since the middle of 2007 doesn't make one a bad fan.

Commenting on Les Miles leaving for Michigan is within possibility as well. Thought police need to learn to think for themselves.

Many of you have very short memories. When we fired Dinardo it was Nick Saban that had to inform the board that LSU was not the destination job that everyone at LSU thought it was. Get real people. CLM has the best 5 year record in LSU history and has won a national championship. You better get a grip before suggesting we take that leap.

No, sonnyboy, it isn't. What coach would want to come here? After the treatment given Miles were he to be run off because he was a 10-2 coach?
Yea, they would really be beating the doors down.

LSU has really recruited itself over the years.
Miles is a good recruiter but he is not on par with saban, pete carrol, orgeron, etc.
He is good, but not the magical recruiter like some of you are acting.
Most of the recruits have seen LSU growing up as their favorite team.
Although Miles has turned away some very good players that wanted to come to LSU and slow played alot of others that wanted to come to LSU and made them sour on LSU

Miles is not even in the same galaxy with meyer and saban. LSU will always be the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference with the "hat" here. not good enough for me.
