Seems like those people are in the minority. But, we saw LSU's 300+ pound O Linemen get obliterated by Bama. What do you think would happen if Chip gets hired and recruits his smaller, mobile O Lineman? It would be a dumpster fire for sure.

Also, that razzle dazzle offense won't win the SEC. Look at how that style has worked out for TAMU and Ole Miss. Chip Kelly just seems like a crappy person, and would turn LSU into an absolute disaster IMO.

CK would be a bad fit and doesn't have a track record worth getting excited about.

Chip Kelly's whole life is football. He is a dick but he is obsessed with football.

I think his stint in NFL would make him a better college coach.

I think he would recruit 300b lineman but i also think they would be in better shape than any other in the SEC. I believe his game would adapt to the SEC.

If he paired himself with a capable DC he would be a nightmare for other SEC teams.

It would be a home run hire IMO

Main reason I don't want Chip Kelly is his preference for scatbacks & barely draftable QB's:

Dennis Dixon
Darron Thomas
Jeremiah Masoli

LaMichael James
DeAnthony Thomas
Kenjon Barner

Saban's D seems to have trouble with that type of offense.

the quarterback would get hit too much in the SEC with chip's offense... he'd have to do more designed runs and more passes or he'd risk finishing the season with his third string quarterback.

i'm not wild about chip, but sadly, i'd take him over miles... i'm just that desperate for a change after losing five in a row to bama.

I wouldn't, It's not like he was beating sec teams on the reg, and got handled by a Les Miles team.

I would love to be the AD at LSU, I could return them to the top rung.

I would buy out Holgoson at WVU, get him a first class DC, possibly Pellini. Top of the line assistants.

Recruiting LSU talent statewide, the diamond formation would be unstoppable. It would be jet sweep city.

LOL...Chip Kelly, with literally half the talent as LSU's best team ever, played LSU better than anyone not named bama that year. In addition, special teams and turnovers were a huge factor in the game.

Kelly had an uncanny winning %, and despite having much less talent, it took Cam Newton and Auburn a last second field goal to beat Auburn in 2010....they sure as hell shut down Auburn a lot more than LSU did that year.

You guys think he would run the same exact offense at LSU that he ran at Oregon...but you are mistaken. He is extremely innovative, and would utilize the talent that LSU has...which would be significantly more than he ever had at Oregon.

You make a statement what they would do against Alabama. You do realize that Saban HATES that hurry up shite.....and much prefers the power team that lines it up and runs right at them......so you are assuming Chip would slow it down and do that huh? He would absolutely drive Saban crazy. You have to be able to see the big picture though to understand what Kelly could do with our talent......and....throw in Boom at DC...and then I could get excited......Jimbo equals more Les.

I don't think Chip Kelly intentionally recruited small Olinmen

I think that is what he got.

His offense has worked pretty good in th NFL with big NFL linemen.

Not to mention he lost in the last second to a much more talented Auburn team with Cam Newton....played very good defense against that Auburn team. People honestly don't realize that he was working with MUCH less talent at Oregon than he would have at his disposal at LSU.....it's comical that these experts on here can't see the opportunity we would have with him with the offensive talent at his disposal at LSU.

The 2011 team was more than just "a Les Miles team." That Les Miles team beat everyone that year. It just didn't beat Alabama twice. Both Fisher and Kelly would be HR hires.
