I checked Go Fund Me - and do not see anything for Sid.

I think it would be a great idea to start an account so the money could be used to fund a "Sid Ortis" scholarship?

Thoughts??

My heart has ached for Sid and his parents since seeing story months ago. If I wasn't too computer challenged to know how to,have a SID avatar I would have one. My son's love of this site prompted me to lurk for a year or two before joining. I remember asking him what an avatar was I kept reading about (couldn't see them as a non- member). Before El Josey Wales could show his dad how to have an avatar and sig quote cancer took him. Praying hard for miracle, peace and comfort for Sid and his parents.

Sorry for your loss JSM. I remember El Josey Wales as a poster and wasn't aware that he passed away. RIP

Thanks. Josey seeing how many people cared so much about him surprised his humble nature and brought a lot of comfort to him during that time we all dread. He seemed to handle it with far more peace and grace than I did. My sense from reading about Sid is that he is just as strong a young man in the face of the worst life can throw at anyone, much less a 16 year old. Geaux Sid. Hang in there buddy!
