We know who you are.
With the haul of this class, especially the concerned LB position, aretc you willing to swallow so easy pride and finally admit O is succeeding?

missed on 7 out of the top-10 LA boys. Not saying he's gonna fail, but this class isn't all rainbows and sunshine.

Success is obviously more than just recruiting. Otherwise Les would still be the coach. So, no.

This will be one of the best classes in history for a school who fired its coach during the year. It is INCREDIBLY hard to hold a class together after a program goes through that.

I agree that missing on the 7 looks bad but if he made up for the loss with out of state prospects who are just as good or better it's a wash. As an example Jamal Adams > Hootie Jones.

I don't think anyone thought he couldn't recruit. The issue is the building of the program, the heavy reliance on top notch coordinator for success, and past records when actually at the helm of a program. Makes no sense to say someone is succeeding overall when they have been the top dog for just a few months. He wasn't the head coach when most of these relationships were forged.

think maybe he can get a game or two under his belt before determining his level of success?

I just don't understand why either side... nega's or sunshine pumpers, always feel the need to call out the other side. Seems a little needy to me.

So you want people who very much disliked the hiring process...who very much were and remain concerned that a man who's only full time head coaching gig not on an interim basis was an abject failure...to suddenly declare none of that was true because he made a solid hire (on paper) of Canada and will land a solid recruiting class?

No, but thanks. You know when I'll truly judge the success of this hire? At the end of the 2019 season. Until then, successes can be misleading, and a look at a program like AU could be a great example. I'm not looking for a roller coaster ride...I'm expecting consistency AND better winning numbers and titles than the guy we just ran out of town.

And honestly, it would be a disservice to O as both a coach and a man to credit him before that kind of credit is due. Let him earn it...REALLY earn it, and I'll happily give it.

I think there was a similar division initially among Johnny Jones supporters and nega Johnnys. Johnny started bringing in recruits and the Johnny supporters were ready to print t-shirts. We all know how that worked out.

With that said, I'm still not happy about the Orgeron hire but I'm damn sure gonna support the guy and I hope it works out. I'm not ready to crown him for recruiting though. We already knew he could do that.

Everyone knows O is a good recruiter. The only legitimate upside to promoting the guy was keeping the class mostly together.

This is what he was SUPPOSED to do and the reason he was hired. So no, I am not super impressed. I will be impressed if he wins 10 games this year. That will be a good sign for the future.

You can't keep counting on this forever if there is continued lack of success on the field.

Success will be judged on wins and losses. Period. But striking out on so many in-state studs, and mostly to you-know-who, isn't the most promising start. Granted, a top 5 class is quite an accomplishment under these circumstances. Kudos to him for that. But it's fair to say that the jury is FAR FROM out on Coach O...but it seems like he's giving it all he has fo sho.

Look O is doing great this offseason but as lsu fans we know being an elite recruiter and elite motivator isnt enough in the talent rich sec west.

We all knew Coach O could recruit.
