For all the top recruiting, Miles hasn't exactly had much luck with his QB's

Ryan Perrilloux
Jarret Lee
Jordan Jefferson
Russel Shepard
Chris Garret
Zach Lee
Stephen Rivers
Zach Mettenberger
Jeremy Liggins
Hayden Rettig
Anthony Jennings
Brandon Harris
Justin McMillian

Besides Mettenberger, it has been pretty average at best, and we got him from a Juco. It all starts at QB

It's still coaching, developing, and putting them in the best position for success.

But yeah you are stating bad luck?
Perrilloux had to be kicked off
Zach Lee went baseball
I almost always forget about Chris Garret, that never amounted to anything

then even if I stay with it's coaching
Rivers transferred and didn't amount to anything
same for Rettig I imagine? I haven't kept up or heard anything..

It truly all started with Perrilloux kicked off, and having to rely on 2 freshman and the disaster that ensued affected Miles entire philosophy IMO..

you forgot Hatch btw!

Perrilloux was MVP of the SEC championship and was going to help us contend for the SEC for the next couple of years.

Just wanted to add though, I am not making excuses at all.. Should have done better, period.

Not in cfb. In cfb it all starts with line play on both sides of the ball. You can win titles win average at best qb play.

Jarret Lee carried the water in 2011 (8-0) and got the hook vs Bama - never again to see the light of day. Fast forward to 1-9-12. Miles will be forever in my dog house for what he did to Lee and how the BCS game unfolded.

And did it ever occur to you that top shelf QB's steer clear of LSU for a reason?? I got news for you: it has nothing to do with luck.

Our oline was getting married handled and JJ was running for his life and your adjustment is too bring in a less mobile qb that was horrible when he got pressured?

Forgive me. I just forgot what a magnificent game JJ played and how he kept it close.

Uh... show me where I said JJ played well. Our entire offense played bad. As bad as JJ played, our oline played worse.
Look I believe that Lee had earned the right to be the starter but let's not act like Lee would've won on 1/9 with the way our oline played.

We will never really know for sure because he was never given the chance, right?

Im sure Lee would've improved on his 1td-7ints careers #s against bama.
