Pretty simple: I was agreeing with the poster who made the comment that lsu fans did not have their priorities straight.
As proof to that, I gave 2 examples: 1) that construction of these buildings had to be postponed while the school was begging for mercy from the state and 2) that the same lsu students who were also pleading poverty in their protestations were also the very same ones who voted to increase their fees to build the lsu lazy river. No irony there at all.
The point of all this is that rather than donating money to improve academics, the students, alumni, fans, etc., give their money for these 'other' options.
