Late 70's Rice or Wyoming. Not sure which was first but Carlos Carson went off. I believe it was 70 or 77-0

First year Saints preseason game in Tiger stadium. Day time game. Boring as all hell. Crowd was as quite as a hoe in church. The largest crowd in the old bowl stadium was Billy Graham. Probably 80k plus.

1977 season as a 9 year old. Mom and dad brought me to the Rice and Wyoming games. I made them stay until the final play in both games, 77-0 and 66-7.

1969 with my girlfriend! Lsu beat Archie Manning and Ole Miss.

LSU lost to Ole Miss and Archie in 1969. Ruined their perfect season and a chance to play Texas for the National Championship in the Cotton Bowl.
LSU got some revenge in 1970 61-17. Archie’s left arm was in a cast. Nationally televised at night and that was a big deal as there was no ESPN or cable. Just network TV.

I was a Boy Scout and we ushered football games back in the day and I saw the Saints beat Pittsburg in a pre-season game in Tiger Stadium in 1967.

My first game was Rice 1973. I was 7. Made my Dad stay until the last play of the game which was tough for him cause he always liked to beat the traffic...but he stayed.
My favorite player was Al Coffee.
Coming over the bridge from New Roads he pointed to Tigers Stadium as you could see it from the bridge of course....frissons!!!

1984 vs. Wichita State. My first year at LSU. I had always been a fan but never been to a game. The first time seeing/hearing the band take the field for pre game was something I will never forget. I somehow had no idea about that before but it got me hook, line and sinker.

1966 game vs A&M- I was 9 years old, I still remember looking at the final on the scoreboard, 7-7.
