How can this be? What am I missing?
We just got stomped by frickin' Moo State and Troy. There is more dysfunction and drama on this team than a Jerry Springer rerun.
Can anyone make sense of this spread?

There is no sense to be made. Just dump your house on Florida and be thankful for the easy win

LSU is talented. This is mainly based on talent.

They must think the coaches brawl will inspire the team

Yep. From a talent standpoint. I think we are more talented than Florida.

Florida has played a MUCH tougher schedule than LSU.

I don't understand it either. I've been wrong before, but I think Florida is going to win this pretty easily. They are going to run it on us consistently. And, we won't be able to move the ball effectively. By the end of the game, our defense will offer little resistance.

Sometimes the public overrates the bounce back game

I know that it makes no sense, but LSU is probably going to win this game. Must be big time sharp money on LSU. They are begging the public to take Florida

I think the weather is supposed to be rainy, in which case, logic would say offense is more likely to run and they probably like our RBs more than FLA. However, the LSU backs don't appear to be 100% so who knows. And to be fair, FLA is mostly playing second and third string players at this point with all of the suspensions.

Smart money usually comes in night before. I would expect a big swing toward Florida. Kickoff line will be UF -4.5 or so

Free money for those who don't think LSU can win. Bet everything. Bet big. Don't be scared. Put money where mouth is.

Still 2.5 on my books. Where do you see it at 1.5?

national betting.

From a distance, you're looking at LSU as a big name program, early stumbles due to injury and new coordinator. Florida looked bad vs Michigan (only major national broadcast for either school), looks vulnerable.

LSU being an underdog in a game you, without doing much research, figure should be a tossup. You hear LSU might be getting the star RB back, and think the team will play angry out of embarrassment.

We're closer and know more about the strife. Outsiders figure we're probably still a bowl team, not a disaster yet.

Sad to say, this is a good time to beat against us. National ignorance of the true problems might even keep the line reasonable against teams like Bama and Auburn, where we'll probably get butchered.

Lawrence being back should help the run defense.
