Florida 2007 Defense vs LSU 2008 Defense

Last year Florida allowed 24 points a game. This year LSU is allowing 24 points a game. I think we are heading in the right direction with a solid recruiting class LSU is going to be a DAMN STRONG TEAM AGAIN.

You could have a point. UF gave up 31 to Troy (sounds about right), 37 to UK, 42 to UGA, 31 to SC, and 41 to Meechigan. Not exactly world beaters. They just scored a lot of points in games they won. Their losses also tended to be to better teams so there are some similarities. The biggest difference was Tebow vs. Lee.

Kinda makes you wonder why they couldn't win more they had a H.T. winner

2 of their losses were close ones to AU and LSU, kind of like LSU's loss to Bama. In the Michigan game they just got slapped.

When you look at the big picture it makes you like this team a little more.

Unfortunately some of the has-beens and never-weres on this board expect absolute perfection and go ape when it doesn't happen. Hell, some were griping last year during a NC run.

Problem: 2007 Florida Defense had a ton of young guys at every position....losing only 1 starter and 1 partial starter
2008 LSU Defense didnt start all the young guys all year....if we would have played the entire year with B Taylor, P Jones, P Peterson, C Jones, Brooks, Shepherd, etc...I would agree with that.
I think next year is gonna be another building defensive yr, too. We are 2 years away from being a legitamate contendar again.
